Dorane C. Biggers was born on October 3, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to
parents, Euclid and Mildred Biggers. Known affectionately as “Doe,” she was
the eldest of six children: Euclid Biggers Jr., Joetta Evans, Latilla Coles, Petite
Biggers, and Darlene Irby.
Baptized at age 5 at St. Edwards Church, Dorane remained a faithful servant
of God throughout her life. In her youth, she enjoyed playing at parks, roller
skating, family picnics, and visits to Uncle Sonny’s house with her siblings.
Dorane cherished interactions with people and consistently spent quality time
with her family. She was a natural conversationalist who loved a good debate.
Her greatest joy was being a mother to her two boys. In 1984, she and their
father Tyrone Brown, welcomed their first son, Marco, followed by Jermaine,
two years later. She instilled in them faith, dignity, and determination.
Dorane dedicated nearly 40 years to the U. S. Government, retiring as a
distinguished IRS employee.
In retirement, she was active in civic life in the Buckeye, Shaker, and Larchmere
communities, volunteering her time for various local organizations. She enjoyed
attending Sunday services and other church activities. In addition, she enjoyed
health challenges, library visits, line dancing, and community bingo. She was
also a proud grandmother, known as Yanna, to her grandsons, Theo and Cam.
They enjoyed spending time with her at the various city parks, engaging in
laughs and playtime.
On February 5, 2025, at the age of 78, Dorane joined the Heavenly Father and
our ancestors.
Dorane leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Marco (Lorraine) Brown
and Jermaine (Samantha) Brown; grandchildren, Theo and Cameron Brown;
sisters, Joetta Evans and Darlene (Lawson) Irby; and many nieces, nephews,
cousins, relatives and friends.
