OBITUARY
Mrs. Diane Kelly-Sullivan
Diane, a lifelong resident of Berea, Ohio, was a proud graduate of Berea High School. She continued her education at Cuyahoga Community College before earning her certification from the Ohio School of Massotherapy. In 1995, she married the love of her life, the late Keith M. Sullivan. Together, they became a beloved fixture in their community, affectionately known as Sir Keith and Lady Diane.
Baptized at a young age, Diane devoted her life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ and her community. A dedicated member of St. Paul AME Church, she lived out her faith through both service and professional excellence. With nearly 40 years of experience in customer service and banking, Diane built a distinguished career, holding various roles including branch management at Huntington, National City, and most recently, Chase Bank. Her dedication and excellence in customer service earned her numerous honors and awards, including special recognition from Governor Mike DeWine's office.
Her professional journey also reflected her creative spirit; she spent 23 years in the Advertising Department at The Plain Dealer, where she played a vital role in enhancing printed media and local journalism. In addition, Diane was a dedicated entrepreneur, successfully running her Mary Kay business for more than two decades.
Outside of her career, Diane was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who embraced a rich and fulfilling life. She found joy in cooking, gardening, volunteering, wedding planning, and she delighted in watching Disney movies, the Hallmark Channel, and HGTV. She also inherited a love of travel from her father, a NASA engineer and licensed aircraft pilot, exploring destinations across the United States and around the world.
On Sunday morning, January 26, 2025, Diane embarked on the journey she had been preparing for her entire life. Diane’s plan - like every Sunday - was to attend in-person worship services at St. Paul AME Church. God’s plan, however, was that she attend services at the Throne of Grace in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Diane was met in heaven by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Jesse & Sermella Mason, brother Gerald Mason Sr., nephew Masomalki Mason, and loving husband of 28 years Keith M. Sullivan. Diane’s memory and legacy will live on through her fiercely devoted daughters who she often referred to as her angels - Patrice Kelly-Houston (Stephen), Kimberley Kelly, and Kala Sullivan, her siblings Calvin Sr. (Kathy), Janis, Melanie (Jerome), Karen (Michael), and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, neighbors, her St. Paul AME Church family, Mt. Zion Church Family, and beloved Chase Bank co-workers.
