Clifford Moss Sr.  loved by a host of family & friends. Visitation will be from 10:00am -1:00pm, Tuesday, April 16th at Lucas Memorial Chapel 9010 Garfield Blvd. in Garfield Hts., Ohio 44125. Arrangements entrusted to Lucas Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

 

OBITUARY

Clifford Moss Sr. was born on August 5, 1935, to the late Henry Moss and Leona Bills in Crystal
City, Missouri.

Clifford graduated high school and joined the United States Air Force in 1954. While in the Air
Force, he met and married Rosie Lee Hughes. Shortly thereafter, the newlyweds moved to
Minot, North Dakota. There they welcomed their first-born Clifford Moss Jr. In 1964, Clifford left
the Air Force and moved to Gary, Indiana.

Clifford also known as "Sweets" had many hobbies and loved to have fun. He was an athlete for
sure. In his early years in the Air force, he played basketball for them. One of his other
passions was playing Mush ball. He played mush ball well into his late forties’. For those who
do not know what Mush ball is? Join the club!!!! Mush ball is like playing softball. The game
of mush ball is played with a larger ball in size. The traditional mush ball size is 16 inches in
diameter and players play with no gloves. Clifford was a mush ball all star player in 1971. He
won championships in 1980 and 1984. He truly enjoyed this pass time of fun. He also liked to
visit the local VFW’s. He enjoyed talking and hanging out with his fellow veterans. Clifford’s
best friend Leon, truly they were like brothers. After over 40 of friendship their bond remained
unbroken until the end.

Clifford started working for Inland steel in 1965 as a steel mill labor and had a long career
until he retired in 1990. In 2001 Clifford moved back home to Cleveland Ohio where he lived a
long and peaceful life.

Clifford was proceeded in death by both of his parents.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his beloved children Clifford, Lisa (daughter in law).
Davin Moss, Donna Williams, Stepdaughter Karima Bey, Rasull (Son in Law). His only sister
Lula Roberson. 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A host of niece and nephews. Clifford
also leaves treasured family and friends.
