Obituary

Bruce Edward Brown, 73, passed away peacefully at home in Cleveland Heights, Ohio on 04/02/2023.

Bruce was born September 12, 1949 to Norma Atcherson and Earle Brown in Cleveland, Ohio. Bruce graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1967.  Upon graduation, he served in the United States Army, and later obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University.  Bruce pursued post graduate studies and received a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland State University.  He practiced law for several years in both Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio.

Bruce had a passion for the game of golf, and he could be found on a course wherever and whenever time and weather permitted. He was a regular participant at the Highlands Park Golf Course. Additionally, he played on countless golf courses throughout the United States.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents; his stepmother, Ann Brown; his stepfather, Duris Atcherson; and his sister, Shirley McClary.  He is survived by sisters, Doretha Powe and Lisa Atcherson; brothers, Ronald Brown (Patricia) and Michael Atcherson (Garlene); cousin, George Baynard (Sharon), and a host of relatives and friends.

Bruce will be laid to rest Wednesday, April 19th at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio with a Memorial service from 5:00-7:00pm at Highland Park Golf Course 3550 Green Rd, Highland Hills, Ohio
