Donald Patton, 82, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, at the Symphony at Mentor. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1935. He attended Cleveland Public Schools, and proudly served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. Donald was a dedicated employee of Lincoln Electric for over 30 years and retired from the company in 1998.
Through his life, Donald enjoyed watching sports, working in his yard, building model planes and traveling with his family. He was also a model train enthusiast, a history buff and loved all types of music.
Donald is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Donetta and Timothy Bray, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Edward Evans, and by his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Alice Patton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested in memory of Donald to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Wednesday, June 20th at Lucas Memorial Chapel, 9010 Garfield Blvd. in Garfield Hts., OH. Interment Thursday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
